Northland Power Inc. is seeking a Head of International External Affairs based in Madrid.

You will develop and execute integrated public affairs, communications, and stakeholder engagement programs across priority international markets, collaborating with leaders across Business Development, Development, and Government Relations. You’ll lead thought leadership, events, media relations, and executive messaging, while managing agencies and partners to drive measurable outcomes.

Formación

• 6–10+ years of experience in public affairs, corporate communications or related fields.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience managing external agencies and consultants.
• Experience with media relations and digital communications is a plus.
• Experience across multiple countries, cultures and time zones is an asset.
• Previous experience in the energy or infrastructure sectors is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute integrated public affairs, communications and brand strategies across international markets.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Development, Construction, Operations and Government Relations teams.
• Lead thought leadership, events, and executive positioning to strengthen Northland’s profile.
• Create communications materials: messaging, briefings, articles and Q&A.
• Support brand marketing campaigns and market activations.
• Coordinate external agencies and vendors to deliver high‑quality programs.
