Q-tech in Madrid is seeking a Lead Engineer & Data Platform to guide a global data infrastructure across cloud and on‑premises. This leadership position shapes architecture, engineering standards and the platform’s future.

You will own end‑to‑end platform evolution, define roadmaps, drive automation and governance, and mentor engineers while still contributing through design reviews and hands‑on coding where needed.

Formación

• 12+ years in data/platform engineering for enterprise-scale platforms.
• Hands-on Snowflake architecture, ingestion and governance.
• Production experience with Airflow and Kafka-based event systems.
• Proven ability to integrate batch and streaming pipelines.
• Advanced Python and SQL; Java is a plus for Kafka services.
• Terraform, Git, CI/CD; Kubernetes/OpenShift familiarity.
• Experience in regulated environments: security, data quality, access control.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder communication.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end architecture of enterprise data platform across hybrid environments.
• Set technical direction: roadmap, standards and reusable patterns for orchestration, scheduling and data processing.
• Lead architectural decisions, proofs of concept and adoption plans focused on scalability, security and cost.
• Establish reliability, observability and operational standards (monitoring, alerting, failure recovery, SLOs).
• Drive automation through infrastructure as code, CI/CD and automated testing.
• Staying hands-on: design and code reviews, mentoring, and championing a culture of engineering excellence.
