Colliers International EMEA in Madrid is seeking a junior cyber security administrator to support firewall, WAF, and network security tasks. You will assist in configuring NGFWs, maintaining policies, and collaborating with global IT teams.

You will monitor endpoint security, SIEM logs, and threat alerts, perform health-checks of security controls, and participate in incident response under supervision. A degree in IT or related field and foundational security knowledge are required.

Formación

• 1-3 years of experience in Systems Administration, network administration, or a cybersecurity/firewall administrator role.
• Working knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs) and basic firewall architecture.
• Exposure to or experience configuring and monitoring enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Fortinet, Cisco).
• Familiarity with Windows-based server and endpoint platforms, Azure AD, GCP, and related security systems
• Exposure to SIEM platforms and log monitoring principles.
• Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and ability to follow security protocols and procedures.
• A relevant university degree or technical diploma; entry-level certifications (CompTIA Security+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, NSE, Palo, MS Security Operations, or GCP security) are highly regarded.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in configuring, operating, and maintaining NGFWs and WAFs (Palo, Cisco, CheckPoint).
• Implement, modify, and maintain firewall rules and policies under supervision.
• Monitor endpoint security and health-checks of controls including MDE and Cisco Umbrella.
• Monitor firewall logs, SIEM dashboards, and network traffic; triage security alerts and escalate issues.
• Generate and maintain activity reports and documentation on firewall operations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application specialists across global teams; apply cyber risk frameworks per guidance.
