Group Security Engineer – Remote - Spain

We're currently seeking a highly skilled Group Security Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies to join our international client. This role plays a pivotal part in safeguarding digital infrastructure across diverse organisations and industries.

The Role : As a Group Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for securing the core of internal and external digital operations. You will work closely with clients and collaborate with the security team to design and implement tailored security solutions, ensuring seamless operation and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design & Implementation: Develop and deliver comprehensive security solutions using Windows, Linux, and Cloud systems.
• Security Architecture: Review and refine security architectures, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations, collaborating with the head architect.
• Risk Management: Conduct assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Policy Development: Establish and enforce security policies for data and applications, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Incident Response: Act as a point of escalation, working with SOC and operational teams to manage incidents.
• Cross-team Collaboration: Work with development, business, and operational teams to integrate security and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For :

• Experience: Proven background in a technical security environment or similar.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Microsoft security systems, Linux administration, and cloud platforms like Azure.
• Certifications: Desirable include CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, Identity Fundamentals (SC-100).
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of network and endpoint security, IAM, and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR.
• Communication: Ability to confidently communicate in German, Spanish, or Dutch, depending on the location, with colleagues remotely or abroad.
