This research opportunity, titled "Genomic tools to investigate the resilience of diadromous fishery species to global change," focuses on understanding the role of hybridization and introgression of key diadromous species, as well as their response to environmental stressors linked to climate and human activities. The project involves comprehensive field and laboratory tasks, including fish sampling in natural habitats, DNA extraction, and the preparation of genomic libraries for high-throughput sequencing. Subsequent genomic analyses will aim to identify genetic markers associated with resilience traits. The results will contribute to the development of a scientific paper for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
Qualifications required include a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or similar, plus a Master's Degree in Genetics or Molecular Biology, or equivalent qualifications from previous curricula.
