Blu Selection is hiring for a General Manager Spain to launch and scale our local transport and logistics operations in Madrid/Barcelona. You will own the ground-up setup, drive market entry, and build a regional team to deliver last‑mile services for major clients.

Lead end-to-end operations, manage P&L and KPIs, and establish partnerships with regional brands and e‑commerce players while reporting to executive leadership during an intensive onboarding phase.

Formación

• 3–5 years of leadership in logistics/transport.
• Proven ability to launch operations in new markets.
• Fluent Spanish; English or German a plus.

• Build strong local network connections with key commercial stakeholders in Spain.
• Collaborate with executive leadership during a 45‑day onboarding to align strategy.

• Location: Madrid or Barcelona
• Salary: €40.000 – €50.000 gross/year + bonus + company car
• Languages: Spanish (fluent/native), English or German (beneficial)
• Experience: 3–5 years of leadership experience in logistics/transportation
• Anything else: Permanent contract, full-time, required mobility for hands‑on collaboration (e.g. initial road trips/fieldwork with leadership)

WHAT'S THE PROJECT?

The project is that you bring your talent and your ambition to a fast‑growing logistics and transport specialist expanding its business model from Germany into the Spanish market. Operating as a general contractor since 2016, the company delivers last‑mile, heavy‑bulk two‑man services, and inbound/outbound warehouse operations for major global players. With established entities in Germany and Austria, the business is now launching its Spanish operations from scratch. You'll lead this local launch, establishing a solid footprint in Madrid/Barcelona and driving new commercial partnerships with regional and e‑commerce brands.

AND WHAT'S MY ROLE IN THIS?

As General Manager Spain, you will take full ownership of launching, scaling, and managing local transport and logistics operations from the ground up, reporting directly to executive leadership.

• Drive market expansion by identifying, prospecting, and closing business with local brands, e‑commerce partners, and retail clients
• Set up and manage day-to-day operations, starting hands‑on and scaling to a team managing min 30–50 drivers/routes within the first 6 months
• Hire and lead your operational core team, including Daily Operations Managers, sales, and administrative staff
• Oversee P&L, service quality, route efficiency, and delivery KPIs across last‑mile courier and light logistics activities
• Build strong local network connections and maintain trusted relationships with key commercial stakeholders across Spain
• Work closely with executive leadership during an intensive 45‑day onboarding phase to align business strategy and operational standards

OK, AND WHAT DO YOU NEED?

• 3–5 years of experience in leadership or management roles within the logistics, courier, or transport sector
• Proven experience or strong ambition in business development, cold outreach, and local network building in Spain
• Strong understanding of local last‑mile delivery, fleet routing, and operational KPIs
• Hands‑on mentality with the ability to step in operationally before delegating to a newly recruited team
• Full professional fluency in Spanish; working proficiency in English or German is a strong advantage
• Full driving license and willingness to travel as part of operational setup and leadership alignment
