Formación

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services. We are currently looking for a Civil Engineer to join our team for a construction project.

  • Estimated duration of the position: 2 years - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, planning, and managing civil engineering aspects of renewable energy projects, including solar and energy storage facilities. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions while working on innovative and large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee civil engineering components of renewable energy projects, including site layouts, grading plans, foundations, and access roads.
  • Develop construction plans and specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and other team members to integrate civil engineering solutions into overall project designs.
  • Analyze and mitigate environmental and geotechnical risks associated with project sites.
  • Manage permitting processes and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide technical support during construction, including quality assurance, problem resolution, and progress monitoring.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and documentation for stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on advancements in renewable energy technologies and civil engineering practices to improve project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 2 years in renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, site development, and construction practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with large-scale solar and wind project development.
  • Knowledge of structural and geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy market trends and policies.

Working hours: Monday to Friday: 8 am - 5 pm (1 hour break)
