About the Role:

As the General Director of Think Ahead Education, you will hold the highest level of leadership within the company, driving the comprehensive management and strategic growth of our brands. You will work together with the Governing Body, crafting and executing strategic plans that align with our vision and long-term objectives. The role entails direct leadership over the two brands Think Ahead Academy and IB Wave, along with close collaboration with the headteacher of Virtus College to drive the objectives of that brand.

The brands are managed by a central team that covers all the main departments in an educational company: Marketing, Human Resources, Sales, Administration, Coordination, Finance, and Educational departments. As Director, you will directly manage the central team, overseeing all operations. The role is therefore heavily focused on the daily running of the business. However, you will also be expected to consolidate and expand the lines of growth established for the business, as well as new opportunities that arise in the future.

Responsibilities:

Leadership of the company:

• Preserve and enhance the company’s ethos and values, fostering a culture of trust, respect, support, and friendliness.
• Maintain and strengthen the company’s public image while advancing its mission as a leader in educational innovation.
• Collaborate with the governance team to develop and implement strategic plans, ensuring regular communication and follow-up.
• Supervise and support all departments, fostering accountability, effective delegation, and adherence to high educational standards.
• Ensure that the company complies with all relevant legislation and inspection requirements and maintains a healthy and safe environment for all pupils, staff, and visitors.

Daily management of the company:

• Lead the Sales and Marketing teams, designing and coordinating annual campaigns and projects related to sales, client relations, and B2B growth.
• Oversee financial operations including billing, payroll, budget management, and reporting.
• Collaborate with the Admin team to maintain accurate and efficient data systems.
• Lead IT operations by integrating modern tools to optimise workflows and ensure smooth internal processes.
• Oversee recruitment in collaboration with HR, aligning hiring with strategic needs and actively participating in interviews.
• Manage the Coordination team to ensure effective service delivery and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise the Educational department, focusing on teacher onboarding, performance, and retention. Promote best teaching practices through regular training sessions, lesson observations, and structured performance reviews.

• A dynamic and inspiring individual with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for education, committed to maximising student potential and delivering outstanding results.
• Proven solid work ethic, excellent team-building abilities, and a proven track record of working collaboratively with governance teams to implement strategic visions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential, with the ability to confidently engage with staff, pupils, and parents, as well as speak publicly with ease.
• Organisational efficiency and time management are key, alongside a deep empathy with the values and ethos of Think Ahead Education.

Essential and Desirable Requirements:

• A recognised university degree and proven experience in a senior leadership role within the education sector.
• Native level spoken and written Spanish and English is essential.
• Candidates must possess an up-to-date criminal record check, and have the legal right to work in Spain; however, the company is prepared to assist with the necessary paperwork if required.
• A desirable background would include experience within the British or International Baccalaureate (IB) system as a former student or through professional work in a related institution or company.

General Characteristics:

This is a full-time, on-site leadership position with a permanent contract, Monday to Friday, starting in August 2025. The role offers a competitive annual salary from the outset, with a notable salary progression and an attractive performance-based bonus package.
