Assistant Accounts Receivable - Portuguese - Temporary

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are currently recruiting a Temporary Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk for our EMEA HQ in Madrid-Alcobendas. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing revenue by checking and following up on external agencies from Portugal. This role requires a highly analytical individual with self-discipline, determination, and a positive attitude.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update receivables by checking deposits in Ria’s bank accounts, identifying deposits, and recording them in the system to update the agents' accounts.
• Make collection calls and pursue recovery of past due balances.
• Attend calls from agents wanting to update their accounts and review their financial situations.
• Suspend debtor accounts if applicable.
• Develop strong customer focus and maintain high service levels in relationships with internal and external clients.
• Transfer files to Collections if the AR clerk is unable to recover the due amount.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum A-level education; a degree in a financial discipline is an advantage.
• 1-2 years of work experience. Experience in a call center handling high volumes of inbound and outbound calls is valuable.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Portuguese and Spanish or English.
• Team player.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented and accurate.
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
