Descripción del empleo

As a Game Monetization Expert, your responsibilities include understanding game mechanics as a service, analyzing customer behavior, and developing purchase drivers to enhance financial performance through data-driven recommendations on design, tuning, and pricing.

You will design virtual products pre-release, define impact metrics, and collaborate with development teams to refine designs and implement metrics. Post-launch, you analyze data to identify economic strengths and weaknesses, providing strategic solutions.

  • Defining virtual products and their impact on game dynamics with the development team.
  • Identifying sales drivers and exposure points within the game economy.
  • Balancing product needs, lifecycle, and availability streams.
  • Managing pricing strategies, including setting price points and sales tactics.
  • Providing feedback and tuning based on play-testing during development and post-release.
  • Analyzing metrics to identify monetization bottlenecks and opportunities, and recommending design or strategic adjustments.
  • Keeping updated on industry monetization trends and competitors.

This role requires a blend of economy and marketing expertise, passion for analytical game design, and familiarity with the free-to-play business model.

Job Requirements :

  • Strong understanding of gameplay and emotional engagement in games.
  • Excellent analytical and formal problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in econometrics and quantitative modeling.
  • Knowledge of statistics, ratios, and indexes for economic analysis.
  • Marketing expertise to craft effective sales strategies.
  • Understanding of client / server architecture, data collection, and mining.

Qualifications :

  • Over 4 years of experience as a monetization specialist / expert in a major mobile gaming company.
  • Graduate degree in Economics, or BA with specialization in Marketing or Strategic Management.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; concise communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and advanced SQL skills.
  • Deep knowledge of the free-to-play market across web and mobile platforms.
  • Passion for various game formats, especially MMOs and competitive games.

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience in econometrics or data mining.
  • Proficiency with UI prototyping tools like Flash.
  • Experience in community management, marketing, or product management.
