Gameloft Barcelona, the studio behind mobile gaming hits like Despicable Me: Minion Rush, Asphalt 8, Asphalt 9, and Disney SpeedStorm, is hiring!

Our Barcelona studio is looking for a Game Designer with extensive experience in Multiplayer design.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design engaging gameplay mechanics and meta-game features, focusing on multiplayer aspects, based on project briefings.
• Conduct creative benchmarking, documentation, and analysis.
• Follow-up, maintain, and improve assigned features continuously.
• Coordinate with art and development teams in collaboration with the producer.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of basic game design principles, including gameplay, UI, learning curve, difficulty, progression, and accessibility.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in multiplayer game design.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and formalize complex concepts.
• Skill in visual prototyping using industry-standard tools (Photoshop, PowerPoint, Figma, Confluence, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max, Unity, etc.).
• Knowledge of the console and freemium mobile game markets.
• Motivation and effective communication within a development team.
• Receptiveness to feedback and continuous critique for quality improvement.
• Proficiency in English.

Assets (Preferred):

• Experience in racing games.
• Personal interest or passion for racing games.
• High visual creativity.
• Ability to sketch and create digital images or videos.
