First engineering hire – shape two green‑field products from day one
The Project
Trifork Quality Intelligence is launching two new SaaS products :
- A confidential AI‑powered workflow application that orchestrates multiple generative‑AI models, refines their output, and delivers polished results to end‑users.
- QualityIntelligence Portal – a modular web platform providing organisations with, among other things, gap analysis, risk assessment and quality‑measurement capabilities.
- Both applications will run in Microsoft Azure, have a modern React front end, and leverage both SQL and MongoDB databases. As our very first in‑house developer you will guide every technical decision and build the foundation for future engineers.
What you'll do
- Design & build features across a React front end and a back‑end stack of your choice (Either Node / TypeScript or ASP.NETCore, we’ll lean on your strength).
- Integrate external generative‑AI APIs (e.g. OpenAI, AzureOpenAI, Anthropic) and design robust prompt / response pipelines.
- Model data in relational (SQL) and document (MongoDB) databases and implement efficient data‑access layers.
- Provision and automate cloud resources in Microsoft Azure (App Service, Functions, Storage, Containers / Kubernetes, etc.).
- Set up CI / CD, automated testing, code conventions and documentation for a green‑field codebase.
- Collaborate directly with the product lead to refine requirements, sketch UX flows, and plan delivery milestones.
Must‑have
- 3+years building production React applications (hooks, state management, testing).
- 5+ years building node or .NET experience.
- Strong proficiency in either Node.js / TypeScript or C# / ASP.NETCore on the server side
- Solid experience with both relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQLServer, MySQL, etc.) and NoSQL (MongoDB or similar).
- Comfortable designing and consuming REST and / or GraphQL APIs.
- Hands‑on exposure to cloud deployment (preferably Azure).
- Experience integrating third‑party or generative‑AI APIs, handling authentication, rate limits and streaming responses.
- Excellent spoken and written English – you can articulate technical trade‑offs to non‑technical colleagues.
- Self‑driven and comfortable being the first developer in a growing team.
- Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Micro‑frontends or module federation experience.
- Domain knowledge in quality management, compliance or software testing.
- Prior experience as a founding or early‑stage engineer in a start‑up.
- Green‑field codebases – no inherited tech debt.
- Autonomy to choose tooling, libraries and architecture.
- Direct impact on product vision and roadmap.
- Competitive salary and remote work (CET±2h ideal).
- A culture that values a ship‑it attitude, honesty and continuous learning.
