Descripción del empleo

Join to apply for the (Full Remote) Graduate Software Engineer role at Joinrs España.

Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. Our customers include leading public cloud and silicon providers, as well as industry leaders across sectors. The company is pioneer in global distributed collaboration, with over 1200 colleagues across 75+ countries and few office-based roles. Teams meet 2-4 times annually in interesting locations worldwide to align on strategy and execution.

If you are passionate about open source and have an outstanding academic record, this is a great opportunity to start your career with Canonical. We will help you find teams and projects that match your skills and motivations. The process is competitive, requiring effort and excellence.

Most engineering teams work remotely, ideally aligned within a single time zone (EMEA, APAC, or AMER). Despite remote work, colleagues are supported through mentorship, shared problem solving, and pair programming. Larger projects may involve multiple teams globally. We work closely with the open source community and emphasize collaborative engineering. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with minimal weekend or night work. We value good holidays and work-life balance.

Twice a year, teams gather in person for intensive sprints to foster discussion, career development, and collaboration. This role offers a chance to develop technical skills, impact open source, and explore new cities.

If you excel academically and are excited about open source, this role offers a challenging and rewarding start to your career.
