• Más de 4 años de experiencia en seguridad alimentaria en manufactura o distribución.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a highly skilled Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager to help shape our food and safety standards and drive the next phase of growth in Spain.

The role can either be based in Madrid (Torrejón de Ardoz) or Barcelona. In this key role, you will report directly to the Managing Director, enabling rapid decisions and ensuring your contributions have an immediate and visible impact in the business and to our customers. You will take a hands-on approach and deliver strategic operational leadership across all aspects of ingredient quality, food safety and health & safety.

• Be accountable for HelloFresh food safety & quality assurance requirements in our Distribution Centre (DC) in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) ensuring compliance with local norms and HelloFresh standards
• Partner with the procurement team on ingredients and supplier onboarding and related projects, ensuring suppliers selected have the right food safety, quality and cultural requirements
• Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure that ingredients meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery
• Communicate and monitor quality standards and processes to QA team in the DC
• Identify and analyze quality data and trends, issues, gaps, defects, and other non-compliances, particularly when they recur; Identify opportunities and develop solutions to these issues
• Review and analyze customer complaints, build and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Maintain compliance with national and company regulations, guidelines, and policies
• Manage recurring key-tasks such as allergens compliance, new label design, supply chain temperature controls
• Work closely and build effective relationships with HelloFresh associates in the DC and the office as well as our 3PL partner
• Lead and coordinate internal and external audits
• Drive food and health and safety culture, developing training on core food safety and quality risks, engagement and understanding of the topic
• Collaborate with the International Food Safety teams on strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

• >4 years experience in a similar role within Food Manufacturing/ Assembly/ Distribution/ Retail
• In depth knowledge of food safety systems and HACCP
• Knowledge of local regulations and ability to interpret the norms
• Energy, enthusiasm, commitment and a can-do flexible attitude
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced excel skills; knowledge of Google suite is a plus
• You’re organised, detail-oriented, and rigorous
• You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and have a strong team spirit—this is key as you’ll be working with many different teams
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Embrace change, challenge and working in an autonomous way
• Fluent in Spanish with strong English skills
• You’re ambitious and eager to thrive in a fast-moving business
• Have familiarity with 3rd party audits such as BRC protocols and requirements
• Internal and External Audit experience, ideally implementing a GFSI standard
