Liferay, Inc. is seeking a backend-focused engineer with strong frontend architecture understanding to join the Frontend Infrastructure team.

You will design, build, and optimize backend frameworks, tooling, and delivery pipelines powering the frontend ecosystem, while maintaining robust server-side practices and a broad view of client‑side consumption. You will collaborate with UX designers and product managers, write high quality code, and participate in peer reviews as you help scale

Formación

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Understand and practice agile development.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript (React), Freemarker and SQL.
• Strong Git skills and DVCS workflows (branching, PRs).
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Clear communicator able to explain complex topics.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and optimize backend frameworks, build tools, and delivery pipelines for the frontend ecosystem.
• Bridge backend systems with client-facing frontend frameworks and data services.
• Collaborate with UX designers and product managers to implement the shared vision.
• Write high quality, maintainable code and participate in peer reviews.
• Contribute to open source-like culture and best practices.
