About The Role:

Chainlink Labs is looking for a UX Design Engineer passionate about building polished, innovative user interfaces and design systems. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to create visually stunning and technically sound solutions. This role requires a combination of strong design skills and front-end engineering abilities to deliver high-quality user experiences.

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement new features from ideation to release.
• Build UI Components: Develop reusable UI components and design patterns, ensuring consistency across products.
• Shape Design Systems: Contribute to and help shape a robust design system with shared components and documentation.
• Rapid Prototyping: Prototype new features and interactions (e.g., AI-driven components or web3 interactions) to validate ideas and inform the product roadmap.
• Clean Code: Maintain efficient code using Git, and stay updated with emerging front-end and design technologies.

Must Have:

• ShadCN JS Framework & Tailwind CSS: Strong understanding of utility-first styling and component-driven development.
• Storybook: Experience in creating, documenting, and testing UI components.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for design details, interaction nuances, and visual consistency.
• Git: Proficiency with version control and collaborative workflows.

Should Have:

• 5+ Years of Experience: Significant front-end or design engineering experience.
• Next.js: Familiarity with server-side rendering, dynamic routes, and the Next.js ecosystem.
• Interest in Web3/Blockchain/Crypto: Curiosity or previous exposure to decentralized technologies.
• Rapid Prototyping Skills: Ability to quickly create interactive demos, especially for AI-driven or experimental features.
• Figma Basics: Experience in collaborating within design tools and providing feedback.
• Systems Thinking: Experience in building or contributing to design systems in a product environment.

Nice to Have:

• Web3 Libraries: Knowledge of Wagmi, Ethers, Viem, and other popular web3 libraries.
• Webflow: Familiarity with building and maintaining visually rich marketing or documentation sites.
