About The UI Platform Teams Design System

This team manages Stripe’s design system, creating intuitive, high-quality user experiences. We deliver essential UI components, infrastructure, and best practices to ensure consistency across all products, supporting a variety of applications from web platforms to embedded interfaces and SEO-optimized sites.

Core UI

The Core UI team provides fundamental front-end APIs, primitives, and tools for building scalable, consistent user interfaces. We focus on core functionalities like data fetching, navigation, and testing utilities, aiming to enhance web application performance and developer experience.

UI Extensibility

This team develops frontend tooling to enable developers to extend Stripe surfaces and products through UI Extensions in Stripe Apps. We build and maintain the UI extension SDK and infrastructure to support seamless, integrated, and customized solutions across the Stripe ecosystem.

About Stripe Barcelona

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Barcelona team, initially requiring weekly in-office presence with a future shift to a hybrid model (50% remote, 50% in-office in Barcelona).

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute roadmaps to evolve Stripe’s UI platform.
• Contribute to the architecture of Stripe’s UI products.
• Build internal tools and processes for platform developers.
• Make tradeoffs considering business needs, user experience, and technical sustainability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize frontend components and APIs for reliability and efficiency.

Who You Are

We seek candidates who meet the minimum requirements listed below. Preferred qualifications are a bonus but not mandatory.

• Residence in the Barcelona metropolitan area or willingness to relocate.
• 4+ years of front-end development experience with modern JS frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
• Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience with frontend components or libraries.
• Familiarity with build tools, module bundlers, package managers, and codemods.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Appreciation for good documentation.

Working Remotely at Stripe

Remote work is supported if you are 35 miles or more from an office. You can work from home regularly, with occasional in-office visits for meetings and events. We do not cover relocation costs.

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range in the primary location is €61,600 - €120,000, subject to change based on location and experience. Benefits may include equity, bonuses, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends.
