The FO Change team supports the front office in delivery, reporting, and administration of change, reporting to the COO function. The project supports a key initiative enabling the EMEA regional strategy, involving the merger of two existing entities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with quality standards, complete data capture, current data, and accuracy from initiation to closure.
- Utilize reporting from the central PMO and conduct regular meetings with staff involved in the portfolio.
- Coordinate with peers and risk control owners to ensure quality project delivery.
- Use golden source data for updates to oversight and executive committees.
- Sign off on all deliverables within the project delivery lifecycle.
- Manage steering committees and cross-functional working groups, ensuring accountability and timely actions.
- Support the portfolio manager in governance and delivery oversight.
- Identify issues and resolve problems efficiently, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Analyze issues and propose solutions, articulating strategic benefits to senior management.
- Ensure collaboration with project partners and maintain transparency and accuracy in updates.
- Define and monitor project outcomes and benefits to support business cases and prioritization.
- Engage and manage third-party vendors according to procurement policies.
- Recruit and assign project delivery staff, ensuring responsibilities are clear.
- Be aware of sub-portfolios to identify synergies and prevent duplication.
- Maintain governance of steering committees and working groups, reviewing terms of reference, and managing risks and issues.
- Manage project baselines, change approvals, risk mitigation, and project closure processes.
Skills
Must have
- At least 5 years of experience managing front office change projects in financial institutions, delivered on time and within budget.
- Deep knowledge of derivatives (IRD, FX Swaps/Fwds, FX Options), trade lifecycle, and trade migration.
- Experience in investment budget management, cost forecasting, and control.
- Ability to coordinate project resources and secure necessary capacity.
- Expertise in project/programme management, governance, and documentation standards.
- Proficiency in project closure, change control, baseline management, and lessons learned.
- Understanding of key controls (SOX, risk management, data protection, etc.).
- Experience in portfolio management, including planning, reporting, risk management, and governance.
- Educational qualifications: Degree level; certifications like Prince2, PMI, or Six Sigma are preferred.
