Job Description:

French QA Language Tester & Translator - Anywhere in Spain, Home-Working, Fixed-Term Contract (initially). Weekdays: circa 09:00-17:00 BST. Full Time, 40 hours per week. No weekend or evening working.

French QA Localisation testing involves performing French language checks on a range of yet-to-be-released games for platforms including PC, Xbox One, PS5, PS Vita, DS, Switch, VR, and various mobile and tablet devices. You will work on top gaming titles for some of the world's leading publishers. As a French QA Localisation Tester, you will be the first to see the localised game in its entirety, ensuring the text, images, and UI are accurate and culturally appropriate.

What you’ll be doing

• Working within a multilingual project team.
• Identifying and correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
• Ensuring adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
• Logging errors/issues and suggesting improvements.
• Ensuring translation accuracy, consistency of terminology and imagery.
• Checking for missing/wrong content and proper display formats.
• Writing reports on errors/bugs and providing ad hoc translations.
• Overseeing the quality of your work and contributing to project success.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in French and English.
• Strong understanding of French culture.
• Computer literacy, particularly with Excel.
• Robust internet research skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Clear communication and teamwork skills.
