Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in converter, cooling, and electrical systems to accelerate the energy transition. The role is based in Barcelona (Spain) or Saint-Herblain (France) with a hybrid working model, supporting wind turbine fleets and field teams to maximize uptime.

You will diagnose performance issues, provide technical leadership, and collaborate across functions to improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or certified technician required.
• Willing to travel to field assignments including offshore environments.
• Ability to climb wind turbines for technical assessments.

Responsibilities

• Optimize converter performance through diagnostics and monitoring.
• Lead technical resolution of turbine trips with actionable instructions.
• Collaborate with EHS, Quality, and Sourcing to ensure safe repairs.
• Develop and implement long-term technical strategies for converter systems.
• Report investigation outcomes to stakeholders and customers.
• Escalate high-impact issues for RCA and long-term solutions.
