Job summary

GE Vernova/ ROC Tech Lead in Barcelona leads the Wind Remote Operations Center, monitoring turbine performance, diagnosing issues, and supporting field teams to restore optimal operation.

You’ll work on remote diagnostics, data analysis, and clear technical reporting, collaborating with engineering and support teams while prioritising safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent in wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.

• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.

What you bring

• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative, proactive mindset
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

• Control room or remote operations experience
• Offshore wind or commissioning experience
• Exposure to advanced turbine control systems (e.g., MarkVIe or similar)
• Experience working in multicultural teams
• Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written)

Ways of working

You work on a rotating weekday shift schedule (Monday to Friday), covering morning and afternoon shifts. You also take part in an on‑call rotation for occasional weekend and public holiday support.
