About the Role

Are you a former or current superyacht crew member looking to transition ashore — but stay connected to the industry you love?

Sailing Match is looking for a Freelance Yacht Crew Recruiter with a background in sailing yachts and a solid network within the yachting world. This is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to move ashore while continuing to work closely with yachts and crew.

As a key collaborator within Sailing Match, you’ll either :

• Bring new client yachts or management contacts , and / or
• Work directly on sourcing and placing crew from our growing talent pool.

You’ll be joining a small, values-driven team, with an established platform, CRM, contracts, and mental health support services already in place.

This is a freelance, commission-based role with long-term potential.

Responsibilities

• Introduce Sailing Match to new client yachts, captains, or managers
• Source and interview high-quality crew candidates across departments
• Conduct reference checks and evaluate professionalism and team fit
• Help maintain our growing database of verified crew
• Collaborate with the Sailing Match team to ensure smooth, ethical placements
• Track and manage your placements with clear communication
• Offer follow-up support to both yachts and crew

Qualifications

• Experience working on sailing yachts (deck, interior, or engine); senior crew preferred
• Good network in the sailing or superyacht industry
• Professional, reliable, and able to work independently
• Fluent in English; additional languages (Spanish, Italian, French) are a plus
• Interest in recruitment and long-term collaboration
• Comfortable using remote tools and managing your own schedule
