A technology firm is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer (freelance) to support an industrial automation project for coil processing lines. The role involves developing PLC and HMI software and providing remote technical support. Candidates should have strong knowledge of systems like Rockwell and Siemens, and be proficient in English and Spanish. This position allows for full remote work with travel during commissioning phases.

Formación

• Strong knowledge of PLC and HMI programming (Rockwell Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, Siemens TIA Portal).
• Solid understanding of automation and motion systems (ABB, Rockwell, Siemens).
• 3 years of field commissioning experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Develop and configure PLC and HMI software for industrial automation.

• Collaborate with the engineering team on software development and optimization.

Overview

I'm looking for an experienced Automation Engineer (freelance) to support us on a specific industrial automation project for coil processing lines (Tension Levelling, Cut to Length, Slitting, etc.). Working fully remotely with travel during commissioning phase.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and configure PLC and HMI software (Rockwell Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, Siemens TIA Portal)
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for automation and motion systems (ABB, Rockwell, Siemens)
• Collaborate with our engineering team on software development, testing, and process optimization
• Assist during commissioning phases with on-site support

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of PLC and HMI programming (Rockwell Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, Siemens TIA Portal)
• Solid understanding of automation and motion systems (ABB, Rockwell, Siemens)
• 3 years of field commissioning experience
