Scentmate by dsm-firmenich is looking for a full-time open-minded and driven evaluator based in Barcelona. The role involves proactive fragrance development aimed at serving small to medium-sized customers across Europe and various categories.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market & application understanding driven by data:

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the European fragrance and consumer products markets.
• Understand consumer expectations and interests, utilizing data to inform insights.
• Monitor market shares and trends to identify needs and gaps by category.

Evaluation focused on proactive fragrance development:

• Plan for proactive fragrance development and execute according to the roadmap.
• Perform in-use fragrance evaluations against benchmarks, ensuring protocol improvements.
• Qualify fragrances with appropriate methods, create olfactive descriptions, and structure data.
• Collaborate with creative, marketing, and sales teams.
• Support team growth through olfactive training.
• Embrace new tools to enhance the role's effectiveness.

Training and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience in an evaluation role.
• Perfumery education such as fragrance house training, ISIPCA, ESP, Montpellier, etc.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French or Spanish is a plus.
