Wave Group is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to design, implement, and deploy AI-powered workflows directly into client environments. You will own architecture to production, building Python-based backends (FastAPI) and APIs, while integrating AI systems and managing scalable microservices.

The role requires collaboration with clients, product teams, and enterprise deployments in a hybrid setup in Spain.

Formación

• Strong backend engineering fundamentals with Python preferred.
• Experience building and operating production AI-enabled systems.
• Comfort with APIs, data modeling, and microservices architectures.
• Experience integrating third-party systems or working directly with clients.
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or similar) and ownership mindset.

We're supporting one of our clients (an AI-native product company) in hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work at the intersection of engineering, AI systems, clients & product and enterprise deployments.

This is not a traditional backend role. It's for engineers who want to build, ship, and deploy AI-powered systems directly into real client environments, fast.

The Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work closely with enterprise customers to design, implement, and deploy AI-driven workflows powered by LLMs and agent-based systems. You'll take ownership from architecture to production. This includes:

• Designing backend architectures in Python (FastAPI-heavy stack)
• Integrating AI systems (LLMs, RAG pipelines, structured outputs)
• Building APIs and microservices for client-specific workflows
• Deploying scalable, containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Debugging production issues and improving system reliability
• Translating business requirements into clean technical solutions

You won't just ship code — you'll see it live, used, and scaled.

What We're Looking For
