Wave Group in Madrid (preferred) or Barcelona, is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge the gap between enterprise clients and internal AI systems, tailoring deployments to client workflows and producing measurable production outcomes.

This hands-on role spends ~70% on building and deploying, with ~30% on client-facing work. You'll craft reusable modules and playbooks to accelerate future deployments, leveraging Python, FastAPI and LLMs in production.

Formación

• Fluent in English with additional Spanish/Italian/German language skills.
• Direct customer-facing experience (FDE, field engineering, consulting or solutions roles).
• Strong foundation in Python and FastAPI; production experience with LLMs and Agentic AI.

Salary: ideally up €90k (flex for strong candidates)

+ up to 35% bonus (~20% standard, rest based on performance)

This rapidly scaling start-up is building an AI-native platform that lets enterprise clients run high-volume operations through autonomous, conversational agents — voice, chat and messaging, deployed across dozens of countries in over 60 languages, for some of the largest employers in the world.

The company's core technical challenge is multi-agent orchestration that stays rock-solid at scale — reliable, secure and observable whether it's deployed for a healthcare provider in the US or a retailer in Latin America.

Founded by an experienced team with two prior successful exits, backed by a top-tier European VC, and already trusted by household-name enterprise customers.

About the role

You'll be the technical bridge between the company and enterprise customers in your market — understanding their workflows, configuring and extending the AI systems to fit, and staying accountable for real production outcomes, not just a go-live.

This is a heavily hands-on role: most of your time is spent building and deploying (~70%), with the client-facing side being ~30%. You'll turn what you learn in the field into reusable modules and playbooks that speed up every deployment after yours.

Must have requirements:

• Professional fluency in English (plus Spanish, Italian and/or German)
• Direct customer-facing experience (FDE, field engineering, consulting or solutions roles)
• Strong foundation in Python, FastAPI
• Experience with LLMs & Agentic AI in production
• Comfortable moving between high-level problem definition and hands-on debugging
• Startup pace and mentality - high energy, ownership, proactiveness, hunger to innovate and succeed, comfortable operating with ambiguity
• Experience with AI Voice Agents / Conversational AI
• Additional fluency in French or Portuguese
• FDE/Solution engineering experience specifically on agentic AI / LLM-based products, not just traditional SaaS
