Mafer is building the AI infrastructure to research, formulate and bring consumer products to market. You will deploy end-to-end solutions in collaboration with scientists, formulators and regulatory teams, often on site in laboratories and factories.
The role centers on understanding workflows, ingesting data, integrating systems and configuring deployments that address observable bottlenecks while creating reusable tech for future work. Expect field work and travel.
Mafer is building the AI infrastructure through which consumer products will be researched, formulated and brought to market.
We work with R&D teams across food, fragrances, cosmetics, personal care and specialty chemicals, turning fragmented scientific data into systems that accelerate formulation, analysis and regulatory work.
Forward Deployed Engineers are how Mafer reaches production.
You will work directly with scientists, formulators and regulatory teams, often inside their laboratories and factories. You will understand how they work, connect data from instruments, spreadsheets and existing systems, and build the applications they will use every day.
You will own deployments end to end: technical discovery, data ingestion, integrations, product configuration, testing and adoption.
The role sits between the customer’s problem and Mafer’s core platform. Every deployment should solve an immediate bottleneck while creating reusable technology that makes the next deployment faster.
You will work with family-owned manufacturers that have shaped their industries for decades and with some of the largest consumer goods companies in the world.

You will typically have at least one or two years of experience building real software. Experience with laboratory or manufacturing data, LIMS, ERP, chromatography, chemistry or food science is valuable, but not required.
