About the position
Ironhack is seeking a qualified instructor to deliver the Big Data Specialist program (IFCD105), a 230-hour course with 60% face-to-face sessions in Madrid.
Your role will involve teaching modules such as Infrastructure Systems, Security and Monitoring, Distributed Databases, Distributed Processing, Visualization, a practical project with Microsoft Azure, and Soft Skills. You will guide students through theoretical and practical learning of key Big Data technologies and methodologies, assessing their progress through tests, exercises, projects, and class participation. We seek someone capable of working in a dynamic, solution-oriented team.
Requirements
Solid knowledge in Big Data, systems infrastructure, security, distributed databases (SQL and NoSQL), distributed processing (Spark, Scala), data visualization (Power BI), and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure).
Ability to raise awareness about the importance of data and its application across sectors.
Strong communication and group management skills.
Educational Background (must meet at least one):
- Bachelor's, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent degree.
- Diploma, Technical Engineering, Technical Architecture, or equivalent degree.
Professional Experience: Proven teaching experience of at least 1 year in the technologies and tools covered in the course.
Teaching Competency (must meet at least one):
- Minimum of 300 hours of teaching experience in the IT and Communications area.
- Official certification enabling teaching, or the Vocational Training Certificate for Employment Training.
- University degree in Psychology, Pedagogy, or Educational Psychology, or a Master’s in Teacher Training, or other official equivalent certifications.
Schedule
Dates: September 15, 2025, to November 12, 2025.
Hours: Until October 13: 9:00-14:00 and 15:00-18:00. From October 14: 19:00-22:00.
