Job Description

Lead the development, compliance, training, problem solving, best practices, and technical support in Sanitation across European Schreiber plants and joint ventures outside Europe. Collaborate with Operations, Plant Leaders, Engineering, Enterprise Quality and Food Safety, chemical suppliers, and contractors to ensure equipment, processes, and plant environment meet food safety standards. Requires field presence and engagement with plant materials.

Responsibilities
  1. Support the development and implementation of sanitation QSPs, plant SSOPs, CIP Neptune, and sanitation audit documentation.
  2. Participate in sanitation programs and training for plant sanitarians and partners.
  3. Work with Engineering and vendors to ensure equipment meets sanitary and regulatory standards; support start-ups with Neptune validation and SSOPs.
  4. Analyze data from audits, pathogen monitoring, inspections, and complaints to identify trends and corrective actions.
  5. Use KPI and MSS metrics proactively to prevent issues affecting product quality and safety; investigate sanitation problems and determine root causes.
  6. Collaborate with chemical vendors to optimize costs and technical support.
  7. Participate in sanitation audits and address deficiencies.
  8. Support PEM, construction plans, Capex projects, and microbiology training.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology, or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in Food Plant Manufacturing (Maintenance, Production, or Quality)
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitary design, PEM troubleshooting, microbiology, and audit skills
  • Organizational skills and proficiency in process tools
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% annually
