Mafer is building the future of R&D in food and chemicals and is seeking a food scientist with hands-on industry R&D experience. You will work directly with clients to build models and product modules alongside our engineers, leveraging data and Python to drive real-world results.

Ideal candidates have a PhD in food science or nutrition, strong understanding of ingredient functionality, and are willing to travel to plants across Europe. Equity and relocation support are offered.

Formación

• Hands-on R&D experience in a food or beverage company.
• A PhD or equivalent depth in food science, food chemistry or nutrition.
• Real understanding of how a product behaves: ingredient functionality, process, stability, shelf life.
• Confidence working with data and Python.
• Spanish and English, and willingness to travel to plants.
• Experience in bakery, dairy, beverages or plant-based, predictive models applied to food, and EU food regulation are highly valued.

Mafer is building the future of R&D in food and chemicals. We are looking for a food scientist who has worked in industry and in the real kitchens of R&D teams (test kitchens, pilot plants, production lines) and wants to turn that knowledge into software used by R&D and quality teams every day. You will work directly with clients and build models and product modules with our engineers.

YOU MAY BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE

• Hands-on R&D experience in a food or beverage company. Essential: not a purely academic profile.
• A PhD or equivalent depth in food science, food chemistry or nutrition.
• Real understanding of how a product behaves: ingredient functionality, process, stability, shelf life.
• Confidence working with data and Python.
• Spanish and English, and willingness to travel to plants.
• Experience in bakery, dairy, beverages or plant-based, predictive models applied to food, and EU food regulation are highly valued.
