Mafer Ai in Spain seeks a food scientist to turn hands-on R&D kitchen and pilot-plant knowledge into software used by R&D and quality teams daily. You will work directly with clients and collaborate with engineers to build models and product modules.

The ideal candidate has a PhD in food science/food chemistry or nutrition, understands ingredient functionality, processes, shelf life, and is confident with data and Python. Spanish and English are required, with willingness to travel to plants.

Formación

• Hands-on R&D experience in a food or beverage company (not purely academic).
• PhD or equivalent depth in food science, food chemistry or nutrition.
• Understanding of product behavior: ingredient functionality, processing, shelf life.
• Comfort with data and Python.
• Spanish and English proficiency; willingness to travel to plants.
• Experience in bakery, dairy, beverages or plant-based; EU food regulation valued.
