Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Factory Operations Manager for a leading FMCG plant in León, Guanajuato. You will oversee production, quality, maintenance, safety, and efficiency, and lead a large operational team to deliver reliable output.

The role requires a strong background in manufacturing management, Lean Six Sigma, ISO standards, and budget/P&L oversight. You will drive continuous improvement, collaborate with supply chain and R&D, and shape the site’s performance in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years in manufacturing operations with at least 5 years in a management role within FMCG.
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, ISO quality management systems, and safety regulations.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets and P&Ls for a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in León.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day factory operations and production processes.
• Develop strategies to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Manage the production schedule to meet demand forecasts and customer requirements.
• Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Oversee maintenance operations to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
• Implement and monitor KPIs for plant operations.
• Manage the factory budget effectively.
• Collaborate with supply chain, R&D, and quality assurance to ensure seamless operations.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other operational excellence initiatives.
