What we are looking for: An experienced and hands-on Fluent Commerce Architect with over 8 years of experience to lead the design and delivery of a Group-wide Order Management System (OMS) using Fluent Commerce, as part of a multi-year retail transformation program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the technical architecture and design for Fluent Commerce-based multi-brand OMS implementation.
  • Translate business requirements into Fluent data models, workflows, and integration interfaces.
  • Configure and extend Fluent Commerce capabilities, ensuring alignment with brand-specific order constructs, fulfillment flows, and SLAs.
  • Design data adapters and middleware for integration with legacy systems, Finance, WMS, CRM, and future PIM and Pricing Engines.
  • Create and validate sequence diagrams, lifecycle models, and event-driven flows for customer order and PO orchestration.
  • Work with stakeholders to define brand-aware workflows, including MTO, DSV, returns, and split shipments.
  • Provide technical leadership during build, test, and deployment phases, guiding development teams with best practices.
  • Collaborate directly with Fluent Commerce for product-specific capabilities and roadmap alignment.
Mandatory Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as an Architect leading large retail transformation programs.
  • Strong retail background, ideally in UK retail or multi-brand environments, with a focus on MTO retail.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale Fluent Commerce multi-brand implementations.
  • Solid understanding of OMS architecture and lifecycle orchestration.
  • Experience designing event-driven, API-first architectures using Fluent.
  • Familiarity with UK retail fulfillment models: MTO, MTS, Ship-from-Store, Drop-ship, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of retail order flows, PO lifecycle, returns management, and inventory synchronization strategies.
  • Experience with middleware, data adapters, or API gateways for legacy system integration.
  • Hands-on skills with Fluent Console, configuration, and JSON workflows.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills for technical and business audiences.
