Job title**: Flow Cytometry Technician

Location**: Tres Cantos - Spain

About the Role:

Objectives of position: Participate in the design and execution of routine activities related to analytical methods and provide technical and scientific support for investigations.

Accountabilities:

  1. Participate in the organization, execution, and reporting of flow cytometry-related activities, ensuring timely delivery of reports and milestones.
  2. Maintain high technical and scientific standards, complying with safety and quality standards.
  3. Analyze and interpret scientific data, propose solutions, and troubleshoot as needed.
  4. Communicate project progress and technical results clearly and promptly.
  5. Write protocols, reports, SOPs, and other relevant documents.
  6. Support investigations and other activities scientifically and proactively.
  7. Contribute to the efficient organization of the laboratory and maintenance of equipment qualification.
  8. Stay current with GMP regulations and guidelines.
  9. Keep up-to-date with advances in flow cytometry technology.
  10. Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.

How You Will Contribute:

Education and Experience:

  • Required: BSc in Pharmacy, Biomedicine, or Biological Sciences + 1 year of experience in a cell biology laboratory OR Professional Training (FP II) + 3 years of experience in a cell biology laboratory.
  • Experience in flow cytometry and knowledge of GMPs.
  • Desirable: MSc degree; knowledge of other cell culture and molecular biology techniques.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Functional: Experience in the biopharmaceutical or biotech industry; knowledge of GMPs.
  • Technical: Extensive experience in flow cytometry; experience in cell culturing; document management; laboratory coordination skills.
  • Behavioral/Interpersonal: Good planning, organizational, collaboration, and communication skills; autonomy; team-oriented; methodical; analytical; intercultural awareness; reliable; open-minded.
