Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) is a paid B2B service that aims to help strategic brands partner with Amazon to grow their business. AVS develops programs to disproportionately grow vendors on Amazon and seeks to continuously enhance its value proposition to vendors. The AVS Experts Service works with Amazon Retail Vendors facing supply chain defects that lead to financial deductions. The service provides dedicated consultative support to identify and sustainably resolve these defects.

Financial Settlement Expert

will support internal and external stakeholders in understanding Retail Vendors’ financial deductions. This role will collaborate closely with Retail stakeholders and Finance teams (e.g., accounts payable, finance operations) to audit accounts, analyze data comprehensively, coordinate processes, and facilitate understanding of outcomes. The aim is to improve vendor experience regarding financial deductions, foster agreement among stakeholders, and establish clear paths forward.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Reconciliation : Align with Vendor and Retail teams on settlement details.
  2. Root Cause Analysis : Identify defects behind financial deductions in collaboration with the Finance team.
  3. Settlement Offer and Payment : Present analysis of root causes to senior stakeholders and agree on next steps.
  4. Post Settlement Analysis : Upskill Retail Vendors to reduce future financial deductions.
  5. Stakeholder Management : Build trusting relationships across functions and levels within vendor organizations (e.g., Key Account Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Finance Manager, CEO, Customer Service Manager) and internally at Amazon.
  6. Process Improvement and Projects : Participate in cross-functional projects related to new processes and improving the Expert team’s workflows, communication, and efficiency (e.g., offshoring simple workflows).
About the team

The Amazon Vendor Services team (AVS) develops programs to grow vendors on Amazon and enhance its value proposition. One such program is the AVS Operations Excellence Expert Service, which offers dedicated support for vendors facing supply chain defects causing financial deductions. The service aims to identify and resolve root causes sustainably.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2 years of professional experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience creating comprehensive analyses for senior stakeholders
  • Negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in data analysis and project management
  • Basic SQL and advanced Excel skills
  • Understanding of supply chain processes
  • Fluency in an additional European language (e.g., German, French, Italian, Spanish)
