We are seeking a Financial Operations Manager for a 12-months (1 year) fixed-term contract to provide day-to-day functional support of central Treasury front office activities across Bekaert’s global business, including support for M&A. Provide practical insight, challenge and review of alternative practices, with a view in particular to supporting the design phase of the new in-house bank and Treasury management system.

Your Impact as Financial Operations Manager

• Ensure all Treasury activities align with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, while securing optimal terms for the group.
• Manage the Group’s internal liquidity, including intra-group funding, cash pooling.
• Provide Treasury support for external banking relationships and internal stakeholders, including financial controllers.
• Build and leverage internal and external stakeholder relationships to source information for liquidity planning, and Treasury operations.
• Provide practical insight, challenge and review of current Treasury activities, based upon external market experience and best practice with a view to support and provide considerable input to the design phase of the new in-house bank and Treasury management system.
• Execute front-office Treasury operations such as investments, borrowings, and derivative instruments, and lead the development of effective hedging strategies.
• Document and continuously improve front-office Treasury procedures, bringing in insight from experience with other organisations to challenge and enhance current practices

About You: Essential skills & competencies

• Qualification in Treasury or a related field with 10-15 years of experience in Treasury operations including FX hedging, investments, and borrowings in an international group.
• Proven track record in the design and implementation of in-house banks and Treasury Management Systems (TMS).
• Proficiency in Treasury Management Systems and Excel, PowerPoint, and Access databases. Preferably working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA,
• Familiarity with Treasury documentation, financial instruments, and terminology.
• Ability to negotiate financial and legal documentation and support system/process improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
