We are a dynamic and fast-growing Payment Service Provider (PSP) headquartered in Marbella, Spain, specializing in digital transactions and financial technology solutions. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller with light MLRO responsibilities to join our team at our Marbella-based office.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine hands-on financial oversight with light-touch AML compliance duties, in a well-supported and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations, including reconciliation of incoming and outgoing transactions.

• Monitor and report on key financial metrics, working closely with the finance and operations teams.

• Prepare financial statements, monthly reporting, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

• Support regulatory reporting and internal audit processes.

• Work closely with the executive team to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions.

MLRO Duties:

• Assist in maintaining AML policies and procedures in compliance with applicable Spanish and EU regulations.

• Monitor transactions and support initial reviews of any potentially suspicious activity.

• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of KYC/KYB processes.

• Liaise with external partners and internal teams to ensure AML processes are followed.

• Support occasional reporting requirements to authorities, under the guidance of senior compliance personnel.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in a Financial Controller or similar role within the payment services or financial technology sector.

• Solid understanding of transaction flows and reconciliation in digital payments.

• Familiarity with AML regulations and basic compliance procedures in the financial services space.

• Prior exposure to cryptocurrency-related payment environments is strongly preferred.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, hands-on approach.

• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.

• Willing and able to relocate to Marbella, Spain.
