pgcareers is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager in Valencia to lead all financial operations, ensure statutory compliance, and drive robust financial controls. The role requires multi-currency expertise and supervision of accounting staff, with close collaboration with auditors and leadership.

You will oversee month-end close, payroll, and reporting, while advancing internal controls and strategic financial planning.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with 2+ years in management.
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Experience with international financial operations and multi-currency accounting.
  • Proficiency in ERP software and Excel.
  • Experience supervising accounting staff.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to the Valencia office as needed.
  • Fluency in Spanish; English proficiency preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Oversee all bookkeeping and financial operations for the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Supervise and mentor an accounting assistant, providing guidance and performance oversight.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Ensure compliance with local Spanish tax regulations and international financial reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Develop and implement internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning to support decision-making.
  • Manage payroll processing and related compliance requirements.
  • Support international financial operations, including multi-currency transactions and cross-border reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain and organize financial records per policy and legal requirements.
  • Attend in-office meetings at the Valencia headquarters as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts on a regular basis
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Ensure compliance with local Spanish tax regulations as well as international financial reporting requirements
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as needed
  • Develop and implement internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning activities to support business decision-making
  • Manage payroll processing and related compliance requirements
  • Support international financial operations, including multi-currency transactions and cross-border reporting
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations
  • Maintain and organize financial records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements
  • Attend in-office meetings and collaborative sessions at the Valencia headquarters on an as-needed basis
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with international financial operations and multi-currency accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supervising accounting staff
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting
  • Ability to work independently in a remote capacity while maintaining clear and consistent communication with the team
  • Willingness and ability to travel to the Valencia, Spain office on an as-needed basis
  • Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in English is strongly preferred
  • Experience in the technology or data solutions industry is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
