Honda Bank GmbH seeks a Financial Accounting Specialist to join the Finance team in Barcelona or Frankfurt on a temporary basis. You will oversee accounting activities under local GAAP and IFRS, and help optimise processes across multiple banking domains.

You should have a degree in Business Administration or Finance, accounting experience in finance, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English and German; Spanish is desirable. SAP and Hyperion knowledge are positives.

Formación

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Experience in Accounting, ideally in banking/financial services.
• Solid knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and tax legislation.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Good written and spoken English and German; Spanish desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Manage ongoing accounting activities in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
• Advise on and support the resolution of complex tax matters with external tax advisors.
• Prepare and review tax returns and support the implementation of tax optimisation measures.
• Manage and develop accounting processes across retail, wholesale, leasing, deposits and cooperation markets.
• Monitor and control the end-to-end invoicing process for accuracy.
• Support bank-wide project controlling and finance-related projects.
• Analyse and improve internal processes to increase efficiency and minimise risks.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to optimise Finance and Accounting processes.

We are now looking for a Financial Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team in Barcelona or Frankfurt on a temporary basis.

Tasks

Your responsibilities

• Manage and monitor ongoing accounting activities in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS, contributing to the development and optimisation of accounting processes across areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger and bank accounting.
• Advise on and support the resolution of complex tax matters in close cooperation with external tax advisors, while contributing to the preparation and optimisation of the tax strategy.
• Prepare and review tax returns and support the implementation of tax optimisation measures.
• Manage and further develop accounting processes across different business areas, including retail, wholesale, leasing, deposits and cooperation markets, ensuring the implementation of new accounting standards and technologies.
• Monitor and control the end-to-end invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Support bank-wide project controlling and contribute to the successful implementation of finance-related projects.
• Analyse, review and continuously improve internal processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and minimise risks.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional projects aimed at optimising Finance and Accounting processes and supporting the company's strategic objectives.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• University degree or equivalent higher education qualification in Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• Previous professional experience in Accounting, ideally within the banking or financial services sector.
• Solid knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and tax legislation.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Good written and spoken English and German Spanish desirable.
• SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in financing and leasing is desirable.
• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Reporting is desirable.
