Mission

Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager and as part of Global Finance Services located in Barcelona, this role will be responsible for supporting a company or group of companies on all financial matters. We are seeking a General Accountant to support and oversee the general ledger, as well as key financial information. This person will act as the single point of contact for Local Controllers, assisting them to ensure all financial requirements and policies are properly applied within the companies under their scope.

Monthly Closing Process & Reporting

• Execute all accounting activities related to month-, quarter-, and year-end close
• Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with closing procedures and Group accounting rules
• Manage quarterly intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare, verify, and submit Group reporting

Balance Sheet Control

• Ensure the Balance Sheet contains reliable and accurate information in line with Group and statutory standards
• Perform internal control activities to ensure compliance with Group policies

Cash Planning

• Prepare monthly cash forecasts and perform deviation analysis

Taxes

• Ensure timely completion of all tax obligations and reporting
• Manage tax accounting

Audit Process & Statutory Reporting

• Lead the audit process with internal and external auditors
• Maintain a second set of accounting books to ensure statutory reporting in accordance with local accounting standards

Budgeting & Forecasting Process

• Prepare Balance Sheet and cash budgeting and forecasting
• Support Local Controllers in subsidiary planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes

Conditions

• Flexible working hours: start time between 7:30 and 10:00. From Monday to Thursday, employees work 8 hours and 30 minutes of effective working time (plus a 40-minute break for lunch and coffee). On Fridays, there is a 6-hour intensive working day with flexible start time between 7:30 and 9:30.
• Hybrid work policy: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. It is not necessary to have passed the probation period; employees only need to comply with company policies. Remote work is not permitted from abroad or from locations more than 3 hours away from the office.
• 22 working days of annual leave.
