Descripción del empleo

We are a next-generation consultancy dedicated to shaping the future of the i-gaming and social gaming industry. Our mission is to empower digital-first gaming businesses to achieve scale with clarity, confidence, and control. As an agile and fast-paced organization, we are committed to ambitious growth. We partner with some of the most prominent names in the sector and are expanding rapidly to meet client demands.

The Opportunity

This is not your average number-crunching gig. You’ll be working directly with the CEO, overseeing everything from the day-to-day ledger to longer-term strategy and compliance. Expect variety, autonomy, and a front-row seat in a business where your work really matters.

You’ll be the beating heart of our Spanish financial operations — managing the books, owning compliance, and ensuring we stay two steps ahead of tax obligations and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Core Finance Management

  • Full ownership of the P&L, cash flow forecasting, and monthly management accounts.
  • Support budget creation, scenario planning, and commercial insight for decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with the Spanish General Accounting Plan (PGC / PGC-PYMEs), and the Commercial Code.

AP / AR & Financial Operations

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes — including supplier payments, client invoicing, and credit control.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records, monitor reconciliation, and keep us audit-ready.
  • Ensure filing and compliance with Spanish corporate taxes (CIT), VAT, and IRPF obligations.

Compliance & Local Reporting

  • Prepare and file annual accounts with the Registro Mercantil (Mercantile Registry) in accordance with Spanish GAAP.
  • Manage filings for various informative returns (e.g., Modelo 390, 349, 347, 720), quarterly obligations, and interactions with the Agencia Tributaria (AEAT).

Tools, Systems & Process

  • Run and optimise accounting software (ideally familiar with Spanish platforms; global tools like Xero / Zoho welcome too).
  • Ensure data handling aligns with GDPR requirements.
  • Champion accurate and efficient workflows, building scalable processes as the business grows.

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting and Finance, Business Administration (ADE), Economics, or a similar field.
  • A Master’s in Financial Management, International Accounting, or Business Economics is a plus.
  • Bonus : Membership in a professional body like the ICJCE demonstrates commitment to quality and continued learning.
  • Fluency in Spanish GAAP, VAT, CIT, IRPF and the regulatory framework for SMEs in Spain.
  • Confident managing legal obligations for annual accounts and interacting with tax authorities.
  • Deep familiarity with Mercantile Registry filings and compliance timelines.
  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling know-how.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving ability and analytical mindset.
  • Clear communicator in both Spanish and English — written, verbal, and spreadsheet.
  • High standards of ethics and professional integrity.

What You’ll Get

  • Ownership, autonomy, and exposure — this is a pivotal role in a high-growth business.
  • Flexibility in how and where you work (as long as Spain is your base).
  • The chance to shape financial operations in a sector that moves fast and rewards initiative.
  • Full flexibility, autonomy, and a high degree of trust in your capabilities.
