ING Hubs Spain is seeking a Finance Specialist to support finance controls, reporting, and automation initiatives in a fast-growing environment in Spain. The role blends financial control, reporting, process management and participation in automation projects, with external providers handling accounting and statutory reporting.

You will coordinate monthly reporting, monitor data quality, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and help design scalable finance processes.

Formación

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
• 5-6 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of Spanish accounting, tax, and reporting requirements, IFRS.
• Analytical and data-oriented mindset; ability to interpret financial information and generate insights.
• Experience with outsourced accounting providers is an advantage.
• Comfortable in a fast-growing, evolving organization.

Responsabilidades

• Support monthly closing by coordinating with external accounting provider, review records, ensure accuracy, follow up on outstanding matters.
• Prepare, analyze, and coordinate monthly financial and management reporting packages.
• Coordinate and support statutory reporting, tax compliance, and external audit requirements.
• Create and document finance processes and controls (accounting, invoicing, payments, reporting, procurement, fixed assets).
• Identify opportunities for process automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Participate in the implementation of finance systems, automation initiatives, and new ways of working.
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc management reports and analysis.
• Coordinate inter-company invoicing activities.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, assist in annual pricing determination.

Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a hands-on Finance Specialist to support the finance function of a fast-growing company in Spain.

The role combines financial control, reporting, process management and participation in finance automation initiatives. While accounting and statutory reporting activities are performed by an external service provider, the successful candidate will monitor the quality of financial information, coordinate monthly reporting and support automation initiatives. Upon implementation of local systems, the role may gradually take on selected accounting activities currently performed by the provider.

Position is well suited to a hands-on finance professional who enjoys a varied role, is comfortable working across different areas of finance and can operate effectively in a growing and evolving environment.

Your key responsibilities:

In this role, you will support a broad range of finance activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective processes and controls, and contributing to finance transformation initiatives that support the company’s continued growth.

Accounting & Reporting

• Support monthly closing activities by coordinating with the external accounting provider, reviewing accounting records, ensuring the accuracy of financial information, and following up on outstanding accounting matters.
• Prepare, analyze, and coordinate monthly financial and management reporting packages.
• Coordinate and support statutory reporting, tax compliance, and external audit requirements.

Processes & controls

• Create and document finance processes and controls in line with regulatory and Group’s standards (risk assessments and key control testing). Main concerned areas are accounting, invoicing, payments, reporting, procurement, fixed assets, etc.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements.
• Continuously identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting processes
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve process effectiveness.

Finance Projects

• Participate in the implementation of finance systems, automation initiatives, and new ways of working.

Business Support

• Prepare regular and ad-­hoc management reports and analysis.
• Coordinate and process inter-­company invoicing activities.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, assist in annual pricing determination and other recurring finance activities.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• At least 5-6 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of Spanish accounting, tax, and reporting requirements, as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Analytical and data‑oriented mindset, with the ability to interpret financial information, ensure data integrity, and generate meaningful business insights.
• Proven ability to design, document, and implement finance processes and controls in a structured and scalable manner.
• Experience working with outsourced accounting providers and coordinating external finance partners is considered an advantage.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑growing and evolving organization with changing priorities and processes.
