We are seeking an experienced Finance Process Specialist to join our Finance Process Team in Barcelona. This hybrid role involves managing the implementation of improvements in back-office tools and processes to increase data quality, streamline, and simplify accounting and financial control processes. What you will do:

The Roles, Key Responsibilities, and Tasks:

  • Manage the implementation and documentation of new processes and revise existing processes within the Finance team, ensuring alignment across impacted areas.
  • Support and manage various project workstreams, focusing on process improvements, efficiencies, and new ways of working; monitor project timelines, scope, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Participate in or lead projects sponsored by the Finance team or other departments affecting Finance.
  • Understand partner needs to plan and execute process transformations successfully.
  • Collaborate with business areas, project teams, technical teams, and stakeholders to optimize or develop processes, ensuring compliance, quality, and internal controls.
  • Track and report project progress, highlighting issues, risks, and mitigation strategies; serve as a point of contact for feedback on project standards.
What you need to succeed:

Good to have:

  • Proven 5+ years experience in process/project management within multinational environments of mid to large size organizations.
  • Accounting knowledge.
  • Degree, professional qualification, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with documentation tools, project reporting, user manual creation, and KPI reporting.
  • Influencing skills to achieve solutions and manage challenging stakeholder situations.
  • Experience in process improvement, finance back-office management, and control tools.
  • Analytical skills, lateral thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence organizational leadership and partners through effective communication.
  • Capability to handle multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum).
  • Advanced MS Office skills.

Desirable skills:

  • ERP Financial modules experience, especially SAP.
  • Travel and accommodation industry knowledge.
  • JIRA tool knowledge.
  • Technical understanding of finance functions.
