3SA Estate Marbella is seeking a Finance & Operations Specialist to join our team in Marbella. The role blends accounting and process automation to build scalable financial workflows and integrate AI-powered solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in finance, is fluent in Spanish and English, and comfortable working on-site in Málaga. You will drive automation, APIs, and ERP integrations to optimize cash flow, controls and reporting.

At 3SA Estate, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Finance & Operations Specialist to join our team in Marbella.

We are looking for a senior, hands‑on finance professional who combines strong accounting knowledge with a genuine interest in automation, technology and process improvement.

This is not a purely administrative accounting position. We are looking for someone capable of reviewing how things are currently done, identifying inefficiencies and helping us build smarter, more scalable financial and operational processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-10 years of professional experience in finance, accounting and/or financial operations.
• Demonstrable professional experience working in Spain, with solid knowledge of Spanish accounting practices, financial processes and local regulatory requirements.
• Fluent Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Currently living in the Province of Málaga.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong experience with accounting and financial management software such as Contanet, A3, Sage or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of financial systems, digital workflows, automation and system integrations.
• Experience or strong practical knowledge in implementing APIs, AI-powered tools and automation solutions within accounting, finance or administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day‑to‑day accounting activities, including bookkeeping, accounting entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Support and oversee monthly and year‑end financial closing processes.
• Monitor cash flow, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Assist in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of financial and operational processes.
• Identify repetitive or inefficient manual processes and develop solutions to automate and streamline them.
• Explore and implement AI tools, APIs, integrations and automation workflows to improve areas such as invoice processing, expense management, accounting entries, document processing, reporting and financial controls.
• Work with accounting software, ERP systems and other platforms to improve the flow of financial information between systems.
• Evaluate existing tools and recommend new technologies where they can reduce manual work, errors and duplicated processes.
• Analyze financial information and provide insights to support management and strategic decision‑making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Develop and maintain KPIs, financial dashboards and management reports.
• Implement and document internal controls, procedures and workflows.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure operational processes are properly reflected within the company’s financial systems.
• Coordinate with external tax and labour advisors, auditors, banks and other financial service providers.
• Contribute to building clear and scalable internal documentation and procedures.

Technology & Process Improvement

We are particularly interested in candidates who understand that modern finance departments should not rely heavily on manual processes.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable evaluating and implementing solutions involving:

• APIs and integrations between financial systems
• AI applied to accounting and financial administration
• Automated invoice and expense processing
• OCR and document‑processing solutions
• Automated approval workflowsBank and accounting integrations

You do not necessarily need to be a software developer, but you should be able to understand technological solutions, identify opportunities for automation and work with technical providers or tools to implement them.
