Willis Towers Watson is seeking a motivated Accounting & Finance Data Analyst to join our Spain Finance team. The role focuses on supporting day-to-day accounting, month/quarter/year-end closes, and preparing financial statements in line with local and US GAAP.

The successful candidate will work with modern data analysis, reporting, automation and AI tools to enhance productivity and decision-making across Finance.

Formación

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years accounting/finance or financial analysis experience in a multinational environment.
• Proficient in MS-Excel, Power BI, PowerQuery and a database (Oracle preferred).
• Proficient in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries and reconciliations.

• Prepare financial statements and schedules per local and US GAAP.
• Develop automated reports using Excel and Power Query and dashboards in Power BI.

Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Data Analyst to join our Finance team in Spain.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day accounting activities of WTW entities in Spain, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with local and US GAAP requirements. In addition to traditional accounting responsibilities, the role offers the opportunity to work with modern data analysis, reporting, automation and Artificial Intelligence tools that help improve efficiency and support decision-making across the Finance function.
This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with data, has a strong analytical mindset, and is interested in developing both accounting and digital finance skills within a multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with local and US GAAP requirements.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial data.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing documentation and responding to requests.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of outstanding items.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Finance and other departments to support business initiatives and reporting requirements.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for management.
• Support the development and maintenance of automated reports using Excel and Power Query.
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and financial KPI reporting.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances and improvement opportunities.
• Explore and use Artificial Intelligence tools, such as Microsoft Copilot and other approved solutions, to improve productivity, reporting quality and data analysis.
• Contribute to process improvement and finance automation initiatives.
• Work with large volumes of financial data ensuring accuracy, consistency and integrity.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting, finance or financial analysis experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish
• Proficient in MS-Excel, PowerBI, PowerQuery and Database (mandatory).
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is desirable.
• Proficiency in accounting software – Oracle is preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in technology, data analytics and process improvement.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables and data analysis.
• Ability to work comfortably with large datasets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
• Good knowledge of Power Query and Power BI or other reporting and visualization tools.
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or similar technologies.
• Understanding of how automation and AI can support finance and accounting processes.
• Basic SQL or database knowledge.
