Job summary

Michael Page Sweden is partnering with a well-established manufacturing group in the Madrid area to appoint a Finance Manager. The role reports to senior leadership and drives financial reporting, budgeting, and governance across the finance function.

You will lead a team, partner with operations and senior management, manage cash, controls, and tax compliance, and deliver insights to support strategic decisions. Fluent English required; experience in manufacturing is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent is a plus.
• 10-15 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
• Guarantee compliance with accounting policies and reporting standards.
• Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
• Analyze business performance against budget and forecast.
• Develop and monitor financial and operational KPIs.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with local tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with advisors and auditors.
• Oversee tax filings and reporting obligations.
• Maintain strong internal controls and governance processes.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
• Oversee banking relationships and cash forecasting activities.
• Support treasury and funding requirements.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies and procedures.
• Strengthen and continuously improve internal control frameworks.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Promote financial governance and process excellence.
• Lead and develop the local finance team.
• Act as a trusted finance partner to the leadership team.
• Support business cases, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.
