Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the local finance function in Madrid. This role involves driving controlling activities like budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis while ensuring high-quality financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of finance experience within the fashion or retail sectors, along with a strong educational background in Business Administration or Finance. Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the local finance function, acting as a trusted key partner to the Managing Director and leadership team.
• Drive all controlling activities, including budgeting, forecasting, margin analysis, and performance steering across collections and channels.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights to support fast and strategic decision‑making.
• Manage and challenge the external accounting provider in Spain to ensure high‑quality and timely financial reporting.
• Act as the central link connecting local business, Group Finance, and the Shared Service Center in Germany.
• Oversee local liquidity and cash management while building scalable processes, structures, and modern financial controls.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years of finance experience, ideally within fashion, retail, or consumer goods.
• Strong controlling background with deep knowledge of margins and inventory.
• Experience with external accounting partners or shared services.
• Fluent Spanish and English; German is a plus.
• Highly entrepreneurial, hands‑on, and pragmatic, comfortable working independently and making data‑driven decisions close to the business.
