Reporting to the Group Chief Finance Officer, the Finance Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all financial activities related to research and development (R&D) and tax deductions. This role is vital for ensuring the company's financial stability, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth. The Finance Manager will ensure compliance with regulations, maintain the accuracy of financial information, and direct accounting operations. The role will have a dotted line to the Group Chief Commercial Officer and Finance Director Iberia.

Main Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage R&D budgets, forecasts, and investment cases focusing on ROI and portfolio optimization. Manage income from contracts and products, and all expenses related to the operational area.
  • Risk Management: Assess and manage financial risks associated with R&D projects.
  • Tax Deductions: Identify and apply tax deductions related to R&D activities to optimize the company's tax burden. Prepare and monitor procedures to monetize deductions.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform detailed analyses of R&D project costs and benefits. Prepare financial analyses for new tenders (BIDs).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Management Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management.
  • Audit Follow-up: Interact with the group's accounting auditors.
  • Personnel Supervision: Lead and supervise the financial team, including accountants and analysts, ensuring full compliance with legislation, policies, and processes. Uphold high standards of integrity and ethics.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or similar preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in strategic or financial roles.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Knowledge of R&D project lifecycles, IP strategy, and technology readiness levels is an advantage.
