We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Finance team in Spain (or Portugal) as Finance Manager. Be part of a global leader in logistics and make an impact together!

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily financial operations of multiple business units within the cluster. This includes financial planning, reporting, compliance, cost control, and strategic decision support for business growth. The role demands strong expertise in freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain finance, with a deep understanding of financial regulations and operational challenges specific to the industry.

How You Will Contribute

Financial Strategy & Business Partnering

• Drive and supervise financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for the cluster.
• Work closely with senior management to provide insights and financial strategies that support business objectives.
• Ensure alignment of financial goals with overall company strategy.
• Monitor industry trends and assess financial risks and opportunities.
• Possess the drive and ability to support integration of new business.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for the cluster entities in accordance with IFRS, GAAP, and company policies.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Prepare financial statements, profit & loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure tax compliance, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory requirements in different countries.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Develop reports to adapt company new requirements.

Cost Control & Profitability Management

• Analyze cost structures and recommend cost-reduction strategies.
• Monitor and optimize freight, warehousing, customs brokerage, and operational expenses.
• Assess and improve pricing strategies for freight forwarding services.
• Drive efficiency in procurement and contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations.
• Optimize accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit risk management.
• Implement measures to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and enhance cash collection.
• Work with Treasury Dept on funding requirements and forex management.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
• Conduct regular financial audits and reviews to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Identify and manage risks related to foreign exchange, credit exposure, and regulatory compliance.

Leadership & Team Management

• Leads and guides financial controllers, Accountants and Officers.
• Develop financial skills within the organization through training and coaching.
• Foster a culture of financial accountability and performance excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, and IT) to drive financial efficiency.

What You Will Bring

• Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or any related field (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or MBA is highly preferred).
• Minimum 3 to 8 years of experience in freight forwarding, Contract logistics, finance, or a similar field.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with freight forwarding and logistics software (e.g., Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems).
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis in logistics or freight.
• Fluently in English, additional languages such as Spanish & Portuguese will be considered as a plus.
• Flexibility to travel between 10-30% of the time.
