DSM-Firmenich in Barcelona is seeking a Data Science Apprentice for Finance to turn data into insights that support better decisions. You will collaborate with finance and data teams to prepare datasets, build models, automate analysis, and visualize trends, creating agents while developing hands-on experience in analytics, forecasting, and financial performance reporting.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to finance data, analytics, automation, and decision-support projects in a global business

Formación

• Interest in finance, data science, analytics, forecasting and business decision support.
• Good working knowledge of Excel, SQL and Python; familiarity with GenAI/LLMs.
• Ability to clean, reconcile, validate data with attention to accuracy.
• Curiosity to explore trends and root causes, turning findings into insights.
• Collaborative communication with Finance, data and technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English; additional languages welcome.

Responsabilidades

• Understand business questions with Finance stakeholders.
• Prepare, clean, reconcile, and validate datasets using Excel, SQL and Python.
• Build dashboards, reports and visualizations to track trends and indicators.
• Support AI use case ideation and SQL-to-text agents.
• Investigate data discrepancies and document patterns and improvements.
• Help automate processes from both developer and business perspectives.
